There are 15 international airports in Greece, which accept direct flights of scheduled and special airlines (especially during the summer months). During the summer there are dozens of flights to and from the Greek islands.

Athens International Airport (ATH)
Athens International Airport is one of the most modern airports in the world. With excellent ground services, it is a very attractive gateway to Greece.
Athens airport is connected to the suburban network, the metro, with many bus lines that lead to central destinations in Athens, as well as to the ports of Piraeus, Rafina and Lavrio to serve passengers who intend to leave the same day for the islands.
Santorini Airport (JTR)
Santorini International Airport is located 7 km outside Fira, the island's capital, while it is 17 km from both the settlement of Oia and the southernmost tip of the island, the archeological site of Akrotiri. Passengers arriving at the airport are served by taxi or bus for transportation. The distance between Fira and the airport by public transport takes about twenty minutes, while by taxi it is only ten minutes.

Corfu airport is located 3 kilometers south of the island city. Passengers arriving at Corfu Airport can choose a taxi, rental car or bus, which runs every hour.
Rhodes Airport (RHO)
Rhodes International Airport is located at a distance of 16 km from the city center of Rhodes. It is the fourth busiest airport in the country (after Athens, Heraklion, and Thessaloniki). It serves an average of 3.5 million passengers throughout the year, with particularly high traffic during the tourist season from 1 April to 31 October. Bus services are quite frequent on weekdays but not so much on weekends.
