Our Private Mycenae tour begins from your Athens location (hotel, airport, cruise ship etc.) and we will drive through the beautiful meadows and hills of Peloponnese heading towards Mycenae.
Mycenae, the kingdom of Agamemnon, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and it is well-known for its Grave Circles A and B with large shaft graves and “Tholos” tombs such as the tombs of the Lions, Aegisthus, Clytaemnestra and the Treasury of Atreus, that contained numerous gold objects and other works of art.

The entrance to the castle is the Lion Gate, famous for its two lion figures above it. At the top of Mycenae, the palace was the symbol of power for Mycenaean rulers. The palace was lavishly decorated with vivid frescoes and mosaics. It featured a large courtyard, a guesthouse and the megaron.

Also, at the northeast corner of the castle there is a corridor that leads to an underground cistern located eighteen metres below the ground, which supplied the citadel with crystal clear water and served as an escape route during sieges.

When our Mycenae tour is completed, we will return back to Athens.

A trip to the kingdom of Agamemnon! The sites were so beautiful and enough shade when the sun got too hot. There are also lots of places to purchase cold drinks and ice cream. Big Thumbs up to the driver and our tour guide who where both amazing and awesome personalities! When I return to Greece im going to pick a tour again definitely!
